At Dortmund’s home game against Mainz on March 30 at Signal Iduna Park on Matchday 27, BVB and anime series 'One Piece' will offer fans a variety of activities to experience their favorite characters from the anime production in a unique football setting, including a special walking act featuring the Straw Hat Crew’s doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, and Borussia Dortmund’s mascot, Emma.

During this matchday celebration, fans can pick up an exclusive “BVB x ONE PIECE” goodie bag at several stations inside the stadium, which includes a scarf, original stickers, and an exclusive promo card.

Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, explains: “Many of our players are big 'One Piece' fans, so Borussia Dortmund have had already a natural connection to the anime for a long time. Last year we did activations together during our tour in Asia. Now 'One Piece' visits our stadium in Dortmund – it is the logical next step of our partnership and we are excited to host them.”

Additional details about the activities will be shared on the official SNS channels of both Dortmund and Toei Animation Europe.

'One Piece' is produced by Toei Animation and based on the top-selling manga title of all time by creator Eiichiro Oda. This iconic episodic series follows pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew on their epic quest to find “One Piece”, the legendary treasure of Gold Roger, former King of the Pirates.

Now over 25 years since its Japanese TV premiere in 1999, 'One Piece' has taken its place in mainstream pop culture – attracting millions of fans of all ages and around the world. Today, the franchise has grown to encompass 15 feature films and numerous video games.
