A place in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at stake in the battle of the greens who are far and away the top two sides in the country on recent form.
It’s a game that has all the makings of a cracker. It’s a 3pm kicks off, it’s a cup tie with two teams in top form, and both like to play attacking football. With Hibs taking around 7000 supporters to Paradise it sure will be one extra-special occasion with a brilliant atmosphere, and one we will all be relishing.
Hibs will arrive in Glasgow’s East End as a side very much in form, as their third place position in the league suggests. Something we know all too well after suffering defeat at Easter Road just two short weeks ago, although the biggest threat to Celtic sits this one out, as not even the SFA could be so blatant as to allow him to head up VAR this time around.

But as Brendan Rodgers stated yesterday, “it’s a really difficult game, but I also think it’s a really difficult game for them.”
A fair and honest assessment from the Celtic manager, and if we play to our full capabilities, the Irishman is absolutely correct, Hibs will face a tough game, you can be assured of that. We are the Scottish Champions, clear at the top of the league by 16 points and we are the holders of the Scottish Cup. We fear no one, and Hibs should be the ones feeling nervy going into the game.
But it’s a cup-tie and they have nothing to lose and will have enough confidence in their own ability to test Celtic severely. That’s why most folk are expecting a brilliant match.

If Celtic hit top form tomorrow then we win and march on to Hampden for the semi-final next month. I’m absolutely confident about that. Hibs will have other ideas and their support will roar them on all afternoon, which in turn will see Paradise noisier than usual from our own support in domestic matches outside of Glasgow Derby matches.
We can do this Celtic, let’s make it 20/20 wins for Brendan Rodgers in the Scottish Cup, a truly remarkable achievement that no manager in the history of Scottish football can match. Let’s do it Bhoys.
