Chelsea interested in Juventus’ Douglas Luiz | OneFootball

Premier League side Chelsea have registered an interest in Juventus’ Douglas Luiz.

According to a report by Fabiana Della Valle of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are looking to materialise a loan deal for Douglas Luiz this January. Juventus are aiming to add a new few new faces to their squad and would like to sell the Brazilian permanently.

The Bianconeri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has eyed Chelsea’s Renato Veiga and Newcastle United’s Lloyd Kelly as potential signings during this transfer window. While Juventus representatives flew to London to try and unblock the deals, an agreement on the transfer fees remains to be sorted out.

Using the funds from Luiz’s potential sale could speed up proceedings in the onboarding department. Juventus could move to secure a loan deal for Veiga from Chelsea and sign Kelly on a permanent deal if they manage to clear up space in their squad soon.
