The January transfer window has come and gone for Paris Saint-Germain, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the lone addition to the squad. However, the capital club likely are contemplating their summer plan to bolster the team for Year 3 under Luis Enrique.
PSG have often been criticized for not signing players from Ligue 1 McDonald’s, despite it being a prime talent pool for top players who go on to succeed abroad.
However, under sporting advisor Luis Campos, PSG have made a stronger push for elite talent from France’s top flight, securing Bradley Barcola from Olympique Lyonnais and Désiré Doué from Stade Rennais.
A recent report claims that the Parisians are starting to outline its plans for the summer transfer window, with Andrey Santos emerging as a key target in recent weeks.
To land the midfielder, PSG will likely need to make a strong financial offer while fending off interest from top European clubs like Barcelona and Juventus, who are closely monitoring Santos’ progress.

TEAMtalk reported on Thursday, citing sources, that Chelsea have been impressed with Santos’ performances at Strasbourg and plan to recall him from his loan spell at the end of the season.
While there’s a possibility that manager Enzo Maresca could integrate him into the first team, Chelsea primarily see him as a “pure profit player.”
Moreover, the report claims, citing sources, that the club is prepared to sell Santos for a “significant profit,” with several teams showing interest in the 20-year-old. However, having enjoyed regular first-team football at Strasbourg, Santos wants a key role if he is to stay at Chelsea.
This season, Santos has scored eight goals while recording three assists in 21 matches across all competitions.
