His arrival at the Etihad was delayed as he took part in the South American under-20 Championships before arriving at Manchester City. Now that Echeverri has arrived it appears that he has quickly settled into life at the club. Now the question seems to be when will see Echeverri make his debut for the world champions?

Based on images shared via Manchester City’s official X account Claudio Echeverri appears to have quickly settled into life in Pep Guardiola’s squad. He looks to be a well-liked member of the squad which should set him up well for when he does finally debut for Manchester City.

But when will his debut come? Manchester City are locked in a battle to secure Champions League football for next season. They are also in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. There are no easy fixtures to debut Echeverri in. Each game Pep Guardiola’s side will play over the closing stages of this season is of vital importance. So if and when Echeverri debuts he will likely have a key role to play. But that may bring out the best in the Argentinian wonderkid. We have seen what he is capable of at River Plate and with Argentina’s youth sides. Based on his talent he should be able to do similar for Manchester City. That is the hope anyway.
