Despite some poor performances throughout his two years at Man Utd, it seems Amorim hasn’t completely lost faith in Onana yet.
That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato, who add that the Cameroon international is still open to leaving, while Saudi club Neom have held talks with his representatives.
Onana looked a fine player at former club Inter Milan, but he’s mostly been really poor during his time at United, and it could be wise for the club to move him on.
Diogo Costa is a goalkeeper on United’s radar ahead of the summer, so there could be a change made in that position this summer.
In truth, Onana looks like he could do well to leave MUFC and take a big pay day in Saudi Arabia at this stage in his career.

United have numerous problems in this struggling squad, so goalkeeper won’t necessarily be seen as a top priority for them right now.
Still, it’s somewhat surprising that Foot Mercato claim that Amorim is content to stick with Onana when he’s stood out as one of the team’s poorest performers on a fairly regular basis.
Someone like Porto shot-stopper Costa would surely be a major upgrade, and if there’s interest from Neom then United should surely take whatever money they can get and run.
United are weak in so many areas, though, so will also have an eye out on new strikers, wingers and midfielders.
Rasmus Hojlund has been non-existent in front of goal, while flops and misfits like Marcus Rashford and Antony surely have no future at the club after both going out on loan in January.
