AC Milan continued their good run of league form with a 2-1 win away at Marassi on matchday 35. The Rossoneri emerged victorious after a hard-fought 90 minutes in the pouring rain. After going a goal down in the 61st minute,  Conceição's men reacted with determination, equalising through Rafael Leão and pulling ahead through a Frendrup own goal just a minute later. With this win, AC Milan now have 57 points, and the hunt for European football is still very much on.

AC Milan were determined and reacted strongly. Despite some initial struggles, the Rossoneri kept calm and took their chances. The entrances of Gimenez and João Félix gave AC Milan a lift, as both players were involved in Rafa's equaliser. Fofana played well too but had to come off after 30 minutes played. The team showed great balance in defence and attack. Now, with renewed confidence, they can be optimistic about their coming fixtures, and the Rossoneri are ready to fight until the very end. Forza Milan!

MATCH REPORT The first half began with a high tempo from both teams. In the 21st minute, Pavlović was booked for a foul on Messias, while Thorsby then received the same punishment for a challenge on Jiménez. The Rossoneri were forced to make a change on the 28-minute mark as Leão replaced the injured Fofana. There were chances at both ends: Maignan came up with heroics as he kept out an effort from Norton-Cuffy and prevented an own goal from Pulisic, who was foiled by Leali towards the end of the half. The two teams thus went into the break on level terms. Genoa had tried to make the most of the flanks, but the Rossoneri had held firm, with Maignan always alert between the sticks.

In the second half, Genoa took a 61st-minute lead through the substitute Vítinha, who volleyed home a cross from Aarón Martín. The Rossoneri didn’t let their heads drop and equalised through Leão, who finished off an attack orchestrated by Gimenez. Just a minute later, AC Milan went in front as Frendrup put into his own net. In the closing stages, the Diavolo managed possession well, despite bookings for Loftus-Cheek, Leão and Gabbia. The introductions of Musah and Walker added solidity to the team, who kept Genoa at bay late on. The full-time whistle was blown, and AC Milan came away with an important three points.
