“Easy pass” – Jason Cundy names player who is “very much part of” Chelsea’s dip in form

Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has named the one player who he feels is ‘very much part of’ Chelsea’s dip in form right now.

The Blues have been absolutely terrible since Christmas and to be honest, I find it absolutely astonishing that they did nothing to improve their current squad during the winter transfer window.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea have laid down ground work in deal to sign striker BEFORE Club World Cup!

The transfer window closed a couple of weeks back now and it was a very bland and strange one for Chelsea. They only made one signing and he is a player who is just expected to play as a deep backup option this season and then probably go on loan in the summer.

Other than that, Chelsea just loaned a bunch of players out with the only permanent one being Cesare Casadei to Torino in the end.

It seems like it’s all been about planning for the summer window, but by doing this, they have once again ignored the here and now and the fight for Champions League qualification.

Cundy unhappy with Sancho

Cundy, who is now a pundit on talkSPORT of course, has had his say on Sancho, and he is not happy with his inconsistent performances of late.

“This is a Chelsea team that relies on these players to give us creativity and width. I don’t see Sancho taking players on. He comes inside and looks for the easy pass. At the moment we’re going through that little bit of a dip, and he’s very much part of it…

“I’m still waiting for Sancho to deliver a consistent performance every week that you want to see, and he should be delivering.”

He’s certainly spot on here, but I think Sancho will get his form back.
