Eintracht Frankfurt eye Hoffenheim’s Anton Stach as potential Hugo Larsson replacement

Eintracht Frankfurt’s recent midfield woes reportedly have the Bundesliga outfit looking for an upgrade this summer. Bild claims that twice-capped international Anton Stach is on the SGE recruitment teams’ list. The 26-year-old may be interested in getting off TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s sinking ship.
Frankfurt seem on course to qualify for Europe despite the fact that – at present – they only have one experienced German international, Robin Koch, in the squad. Koch has had injury and form issues this year. So too has ordinarily rock solid Tunisian midfielder Ellyes Skhiri.
With rumours surfacing that the Hessen club wish to cash in on young Swedish phenom Hugo Larson this summer, Stach could serve as an economical replacement. Hoffenheim paid Mainz €11m to acquire Stach from Mainz in September 2023.
Since then, the former Osnabrück, Wolfsburg, and SpVgg Greuther Fürth man’s estimated market value has dipped from a peak of €15m to €12m. Often used out of position by TSG head coaches Pellegrino Matarazzo and Christian Ilzer, Stach should be eager to find a more stable role.
