Following an encouraging first season with Arsenal, 19-year-old goalkeeper Tommy Setford is set to jet off to Romania for international duty in June.
England have confirmed their squad for the UEFA u19 Euros, and Setford is Arsenal’s sole call-up.
Both Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri were involved in qualifying, providing goals and assists in the first three matches. But the duo have since been promoted, and they’re evidently not dropping back down for the final tournament.

Setford is likely to play a key role at the tournament, having started four of England’s six games in qualifying. He kept three clean sheets to help the team to three wins in those four matches.
The teenager has been getting plenty of top-level experience with Arsenal this season, regularly acting as the club’s third-choice goalkeeper.
Setford even made his debut in October, and he’s played a few academy fixtures along the way to keep himself fresh. It was recently confirmed that he’s officially been promoted to the Arsenal first-team dressing room.
England kick things off at the u19 Euros with group stage matches against Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands. If they finish in the top two, they’ll then qualify for the semi-finals.
