Once again there were numerous Manchester United players on loan on a busy Saturday afternoon of action.

The star of the show was definitely Ethan Williams who scored his first goal in senior football for Cheltenham Town in a 3-0 win over Newport County.

According to the BBC, “Williams scored a sublime goal and registered an assist as Cheltenham Town ended their seven-game winless away league run by beating Newport County.”

In a fantastic attacking contribution, he made two key passes and completed 60% of his passes.

Rhys Bennett was also in action for Fleetwood Town as they lost 2-1 away to Grimsby Town.

He played 74 minutes and made 9 clearances in the match. The 21 year old also won three out of his five aerial duels and made one interception in his team’s losing effort.

Jadon Sancho made less of a contribution however, as his Chelsea side lost 2-1 to Aston Villa, who were inspired by Marcus Rashford.

He was only on the pitch for 14 minutes and had zero shots on goal. The winger was also only able to play three passes in yet another disappointing showing for his new side.

Ethan Ennis played 23 minutes for Doncaster Rovers in their 2-1 win over Accrington Stanley.

He only had 11 touches of the ball and played three successful passes as he struggled to make his mark on the game.

Sonny Aljofree started for Accrington against Ennis’ Doncaster but he had to be subbed off after just 34 minutes.

He made two clearances, one interception and one tackle during his short time on the pitch.

Joe Hugill also made an appearance from the substitute bench in Carlisle United’s 0-0 draw with Gillingham.

The United striker was only on the pitch for 16 minutes but he did have one shot on target that counted as a big chance missed. He also won 100% of his ground duels in the stalemate.

Sam Mather got his first taste of first team action as he came on for the final 11 minutes of Tranmere’s 2-1 defeat to Notts County and Jack Kingdon was subbed on for the last 12 minutes of Rochdale’s disappointing 0-4 defeat to Barnet.
