Juventus are keen on signing the Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly.
The 26-year-old defender joined Newcastle at the start of the season, but he has not been able to hold down a regular spot. The former Bournemouth defender has made just nine appearances in the league for Newcastle and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to sell him. He has been linked with an exit recently.
According to the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian outfit are prepared to provide him with an exit route. The defender is reportedly valued at €30 million, and it will be interesting to see if Juventus are prepared to pay up for him this month.
Newcastle are already lacking in depth in the defensive department, and it would be a surprise if they let Kelly leave the club this month. They will be hoping to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and they need to keep their squad intact.

Kelly is a versatile player who is capable of operating as a central defender as well as a left-back. He could be an asset for Newcastle during injuries and rotation. Furthermore, he is a proven performer in the Premier League and he could be a key player for Newcastle in the coming weeks if he manages to regain his top form.
There is no doubt that he could be a quality addition to the Juventus defensive unit as well, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
If Newcastle cannot provide him with ample opportunities, the player could be attracted to the idea of moving abroad. Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to play for them can be hard to turn down for most players. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.
