Former Nerazzurri coach Ottavio Bianchi feels that a well-run club is the “secret” to the success of Inter Milan and Atalanta.

Bianchi praised the behind-the-scenes work at both clubs in an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. He also predicted that Napoli can stay in the Serie A title race.

Inter and Atalanta are the two teams in the best form in Serie A this season.

Both of the two sides have enjoyed the fruits of long-term work by their respective coaches.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has really shaped the team in his own image. And that is certainly true of Gian Piero Gasperini at Atalanta.

But by the same token, those coaches have had the benefit of excellent squads to work with.

Neither Inter nor Atalanta have spent big. Particularly the latter.

But Inzaghi and Gasperini can both call upon plenty of individual quality, as well as a well-balanced squad that fits with the formation and style of play they look to implement.

Ottavio Bianchi Hails Club Work As “Secret” Of Inter & Atalanta

Bianchi gave his thoughts on the “sectets” of Inter and Atalanta.

“It’s always the work of the clubs that really makes the difference,” he argued.

“That gives solidity to the coaches and the teams.”

“Gasperini and Inzaghi are very good,” Bianchi made clear.

“But behind them, they have the great work of their clubs at the corporate level.”

Meanwhile, Bianchi noted that “Atalanta are a fun team, a collective in which more or less everyone scores.”

“Even if it seems like they’re getting less goalscoring runs from players further back than they used to.”

“At Inter, though, the strike pair perhaps gets more attention,” Bianchi noted. “But Lautaro and Thuram are just the front of a team style of play.”

“But the real success of Inter and Atalanta start with the defense,” he argued. “They always think about winning it back, they defend by attacking.”

Meanwhile, Bianchi predicted that Napoli “can remain in the fight” for the Serie A title.

“They had a flat tire last season. But they’ve already gotten going again.”

“But beyond that, that’s it,” Bianchi predicted of the title race. “It’s less than halfway through, but there are only three teams who can aspire to go all the way.”
