Speaking exclusively with FLW, Lee Hendrie has offered his thoughts on what Burnley may do with Koleosho this summer.
Burnley winger Luca Koleosho is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A side Torino over a potential summer exit from Turf Moor.
Italian football news outlet Direttagoal have claimed that Torino are serious about making a move for the 20-year-old in the summer.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have previously been reported as having the versatile forward on their transfer shortlist, with Vincent Kompany potentially seeking a reunion with his former player from his time in charge of the Clarets.
Premier League clubs such as Wolves, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have all been credited with an interest in him too, but the former were said to have been put off by Burnley's £40m valuation of their young starlet.
Speaking exclusively with Football League World, we asked Sky Sports pundit and former player, Lee Hendrie: 'Do you think Burnley should sell Luca Koleosho this summer if a suitable bid comes in?'
Hendrie said: "Luca Koleosho - I think the only reason that they will sell him in the summer is if promoted.
"It will generate money that can certainly give them a little bit more going forward. But, I also think that he will be looking, if they do get promoted, that he's playing in the Premier League.
"He's such a young player, he's got loads of ability, and that's why he's attracted a lot of attention from the big clubs like Torino and Bayern Munich.
"So, I think it will be an end-of-season decision whether it suits him, and it suits the club. Whether they can generate money, or it's going to be suitable for him to play in the Premier League if they get promoted."
Despite being born in the United States and having represented them on the international stage at Under-15 level, Koleosho is also eligible to represent Canada, Nigeria and Italy due to his father being Nigerian, and his mother being Italian-Canadian.
However, it's Italy that he could be set to commit to in the near future. Not only has he represented the Azzurri at youth level, Italian senior national team manager Luciano Spalletti told him to be on standby as a potential injury replacement for their March UEFA Nations League clashes with Germany.
Therefore, the Burnley man is clearly in the thinking of Spalletti for the future, and as such, a move to Serie A in the summer could stand him in much greater stead for a future on the international stage with Italy.
But, should Bayern Munich come calling, the chance to link back up with Kompany as well as joining a real heavyweight in world football as opposed to Torino, who despite being a big club in their own right, have been a mid-table side in Serie A over the last few seasons, could prove too tempting an opportunity to turn down.
A fascinating summer appears to be in store regarding the future of Koleosho, as Burnley look set to bank a big payday regardless of where he goes, should he decide to call time on his Turf Moor career.
