Carlos Soler has provided a scathing assessment on the performances of West Ham this season.

The club, although not miles off the target for the European places, have been very below par so far this season, with many calling for the club to make a change in regards to Head Coach Julen Lopetegui.

It appears the support for the Spaniard has dropped considerably in recent weeks, with many within the clubs hierarchy eager to see him replaced, with Graham Potter waiting to take over.

Fellow Spaniard Carlos Soler has admitted that the fans deserve so much better than they have been given by the side so far this season, with Manchester City seen as a crucial game for Lopetegui in him remaining in charge.

“It was a very poor performance of our team,” said Soler to the clubs Official Website, following the latest drubbing, at the hands of Liverpool.

“We are not this team. We showed before that we are more competitive, more aggressive, and we have to change in this type of match because it’s not the first [time it has happened]. We have to change this because we have shown before that we are able to do much better.

“I just say sorry to the fans because this is not West Ham. This is not the team that they deserve.”
