Fulham will look to continue their push for European football when Ipswich Town arrive at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Marco Silva’s side are unbeaten in seven Premier League games and win will take the Cottagers within two points of the Premier League’s top six.
Silva will have been disappointed to see his side concede a late equaliser to fellow European hopefuls Bournemouth last time out. That result was a fifth draw in seven games for Fulham, though that run has included holding Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Fulham have not featured in Europe since the 2011/12 season but optimism is high in West London. Despite losing Joao Palhinha and Tosin Adarabioyo in the summer, Silva has improved Fulham once again to enter the chase for continental football.
Their opponents, Ipswich, returned to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years this season. It’s been a difficult start for Kieran McKenna’s team, who sit 18th in the table. However, The Tractor Boys are targeting a second successive scalp of West London opposition having upset Chelsea at Portman Road last time out.
Fulham have no new injury concerns with Marco Silva confirming Sander Berge and Reiss Nelson remain out. The former is ‘closer’ to returning to the squad but neither player will feature this weekend. Harrison Reed and Kenny Tete are also on the sidelines with knee injuries.
Harry Wilson will hope to retain his place after scoring in his last two appearances. The Wales winger has scored five Premier League goals from just 516 minutes of action this season.
Fulham predicted XI: Leno; Diop, Andersen, Bassey; Castagne, Pereira, Lukic, Robinson; Wilson, Iwobi, Jimenez.
Fulham host Ipswich in the Premier League on Sunday 5th January 2024. Kick-off at Craven Cottage is 14:00 GMT.
Fulham vs Ipswich will be live on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event with coverage starting from 13:00 GMT.
