Gavi labels Barcelona teammate ‘the best player in the world’ after win over Real Betis | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has this week moved to lavish the ultimate praise on teammate Lamine Yamal.

This comes fresh off another dazzling performance on the part of the latter, on Wednesday night.

Barcelona were of course back in action yesterday evening, welcoming Real Betis to Catalunya’s capital for a Copa del Rey Last-16 clash.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops emerged dominant victors by five goals to one.

And the aforementioned Lamine enjoyed nothing short of a wonderful outing, notching a goal and an assist from his berth on the right flank.

This marked just the latest in a lengthy string of brilliant showings on the part of Barcelona’s young wide-man, who has long made a name for himself as the standout up-and-coming player in all of football.

One fellow member of Barca’s ranks, though, has now moved to take his praise of Lamine one step further.

Speaking to the media on the back of his side’s latest triumph on Wednesday, Gavi was not shy in revealing his opinion that:

“Lamine Yamal is the best player in the world right now.”
