Patrick Vieira is expecting Inter Milan will be “very angry” when they face Genoa due to their loss to Juventus last weekend.
The coach spoke in a press conference ahead of Saturday’s match, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter Milan host Genoa in Serie A this weekend.
The Nerazzurri will know full well that the Grifone will not be an easy opponent for them.
The last meeting between Inter and Genoa ended in a 2-2 draw. The Ligurian team also managed a draw against Inter by the same scoreline last season as well.
But Inter will be feeling that they have no option but to take three points.
The Nerazzurri’s last match was against Juventus in the Derby d’Italia. That match saw them slump to a 1-0 defeat.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan have also lost to Fiorentina and drawn with AC Milan this month.
Therefore, a win against Genoa would be vital heading into the top-of-the-table clash with Napoli at the start of next month.
Genoa coach Patrick Vieira has little doubt. “We’ll be up against an Inter who are very angry after losing their last match,” he said.
“They want to take the three points,” the Grifone coach continued.

“And they have a squad with 25 players of the highest level.”
“For that reason we have to be ready to suffer,” Vieira said. “And to play against a team who are one of the best in Europe.”
Meanwhile, former midfielder Vieira also looked back on his time as an Inter player.
“I had some wonderful moments at Inter,” said the Genoa coach.
“But this match is important for us. We want to go there and play a good match and take points.”
“That’s my goal and that of the team,” Vieira insisted.
