Harry Redknapp has picked his best 11 performers from the weekend’s action.

The Premier League team of the weekend that has most impressed him.

Included in his top 11 is one stand out Newcastle United player.

A player who in Harry’s opinion contributed so much to the very deserved victory over Nottingham Forest.

Harry Redknapp explaining to BetVictor why he chose this Newcastle United star amongst his Premier League team of the week:

I’m not sure if Everton would still be in the Premier League without Jordan Pickford in the last couple of seasons. Yet again, he was the difference for them at the weekend. He made a few great saves, particularly near the end, to earn his side a vital point. There’s not many better than him.

Manchester United’s transfer business in the last few seasons has been mixed to say the least, Noussair Mazraoui looks the exception to that. He’s a solid defender and I’ve not seen many players get the better of him. He’s got good quality going forward too and looks like he’ll be a mainstay in this side moving forward.

Talk about a happy return, Joachim Andersen went back to Crystal Palace with Fulham and got the win and kept a clean sheet! I’ve always liked him, and he was superb at the weekend. I know a lot of people were a little surprised he left Palace for Fulham, but it looks like a good decision so far this season.

There’s nothing else to say about Virgil van Dijk that hasn’t been said before, what a player. Liverpool have been so solid this season and every week it’s that pairing of Ibrahima Konate and Van Dijk that dominate. It’s looking like Liverpool’s title to lose, and their captain has been superb so far this season.

I thought Andy Robertson was brilliant against Aston Villa. We all know what a great servant he’s been for Liverpool, but he hasn’t quite been at his best this season and Kostas Tsimikas has been threatening the position. He was up and down the pitch all game and Villa didn’t really get a look in down Robertson’s side.

I know Joao Pedro didn’t start, but what an impact sub! His equaliser was hardly a classic goal, but you’ve got to put yourself in the box to take advantage of any lucky bounces. His assist was excellent though. It shows how good this Brighton squad is that they’ve still been winning games without a player of this quality.

I think Joelinton goes under the radar at times, he’s such a tough player to face in midfield.

Physically, I don’t see anyone getting the better of him.

He’s tall, quick and so strong and he forms a nice partnership with Bruno Guimaraes in there.

His goal against Nottingham Forest was superb, a lovely strike on his left foot.

My Player of the Week is Bruno Fernandes, he was brilliant against Leicester. His opener was a typical goal for him, the number of goals he’s scored from outside the box down the years is amazing. We probably take Bruno Fernandes for granted just because he’s been doing it for a few seasons now.

Matheus Cunha has been Wolves’ talisman for quite a while now and he was absolutely brilliant against Southampton. A lovely driving run and pass to create the opening goal before a world class strike for Wolves’ second. There are not many better players in his position in the league at the moment and hopefully Wolves can kick on now.

Another week, another Brentford thriller! Bryan Mbeumo catches a lot of the headlines and rightly so, but Yoane Wissa is such a handful in almost every game. He scored two great goals against Bournemouth; he made that second goal look far easier than it was.

What a win for Ipswich against Tottenham, nobody saw that coming! I know it was a scrappy goal, but I think Liam Delap deserves a mention. At the end of the day, if you don’t get yourself in the right areas, you don’t score that goal! He’s been a real bright spark for Ipswich this season and there’s not many young English strikers on the scene so it’s good to see him doing well. He’s a big, strong centre forward and a real handful.

Manager of the Week – It has to be Kieran McKenna. To go to Tottenham and get your first win is impressive, that should hopefully give the side a real boost. I know he’s got a lot of Tottenham connections too, so that will have been extra special for him.
