Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is heading for the exit door at the Stadio Maradona as negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain continue, but Napoli had been hoping to keep the Georgian on board with a new and improved contract offer before his decision to leave.
Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli in the summer of 2022, and is still on the same contract that he signed when he first arrived, when he was still a relatively unknown quantity in Serie A. It is understood that he earns around €1.5m per season on his current deal.

According to recent updates, however, Napoli had attempted to tie him down to a new and improved deal with an original offer of around €4m per season plus bonuses.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Napoli later increased their offer, tabling a five-year deal with a wage packet that would increase year after year, which would have totalled an average of €6m per season.
PSG, however, are able to offer an even more lucrative deal. Reports from Calciomercato.com suggest that the Parisians will be able to pay Kvaratskhelia more than five times what he currently earns in Naples: Around €10m per season including bonuses to be precise.
