Football League World's Bolton Wanderers fan pundit identifies Aaron Collins as a player who could move away from the club this summer
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
Bolton Wanderers sit seventh in the League One table, and are separated from the play-off spots on goal difference alone, following Saturday afternoon's dramatic 4-3 victory over Crawley Town.
Wanderers trailed 3-1 just after the hour mark, courtesy of Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's second goal of the game, but strikes from Alex Murphy and Josh Sheehan levelled proceedings before a Charlie Baker own goal sealed their 4-3 win.
But while the Greater Manchester side look to land a play-off spot for the third consecutive season, Football League World asked our Bolton fan pundit, Liam O'Meara, which player at his club he expected to attract the most transfer interest in the summer and why.
Liam said: "I think Aaron Collins will be of interest for most clubs in the summer, he seems to really be finding form now, and I was quite surprised there wasn't more noise around him (during the January transfer window) to be completely honest.
"He does seem to have found his eye for goal, and he is able to beat a player and retain possession high up the pitch, so I expect interest there.
"Also Josh Sheehan as well.
"He has quite a lot of experience now, particularly at Football League level, and he's able to knit together defence and midfield in a way that other players can't do.
"They're not easy to find, players like Josh Sheehan, so those two, I would imagine.
"Potentially as well, Ricardo Santos will be of interest being a free agent in the summer, but I would prefer him to move on anyway."
Liam is right to point out that former Forest Green Rovers forward Collins is likely to attract plenty of transfer interest come the summer, amid his strong form of late.
Collins has notched three goal contributions in his last four games, which has taken his tally this term to an impressive eight goals and three assists in 29 League One appearances.
The 27-year-old's contract with Wanderers expires in June 2027, but his positive performances in League One may have caught the eye of potential suitors in the transfer market, including Championship clubs.
If Wanderers do not win promotion to the second tier themselves, there is seemingly still a high chance that Collins could be plying his trade in the Championship next term.
