Former Chelsea star William Gallas has admitted he’s unsure if Jadon Sancho can perform consistently in the Premier League.
Sancho was a deadline day singing last summer, with the winger joining on an initial loan deal from Manchester United, which will become permanent for around £25m.
The 24-year-old started really well with a man of the match performance on debut against Bournemouth, and registered three assists in his first three appearances.
The England international scored his first goals for the Blues against Southampton and Tottenham, but with Chelsea’s form dropping off so has Sancho’s.
The winger hasn’t registered a goal contribution since he assisted Cole Palmer in the draw against Crystal Palace at the start of January.
John Obi Mikel has been heavily critical of Sancho and like many of Chelsea’s attackers his performances haven’t been good enough recently.

Chelsea are said to be very happy with Sancho, but Gallas has shared concerns that he may never be able to perform consistently in the Premier League.
“He has a lot of potential and he has real quality, that’s why people are disappointed in his recent performances,” he told Slingo, as cited on X.com.
“In all honesty, I don’t know if he can be consistent in the Premier League. That is the most difficult thing about playing in England.
“You have to push yourself to the limit and not just once, you have to do it all season. Some players just cannot do it, it’s just too much for them.
