Inter are trying to lay the groundwork to eventually sign Nico Paz, and they’ll have better chances of doing so if Real Madrid bought him back rather than if he stayed at Como. The Lariani are ambitious and want to make him the face of the franchise for years to come. Moreover, they have a wealthy ownership and won’t need to cash in on their best player to stay afloat economically.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), Los Galacticos will be able to recall the prodigy for €8M in 2025, €9M in 2026, and €10M in 2027. The Biancoblù spent €6.5M to purchase basically half of his rights last summer. The Spanish team would be entitled to 50 percent of the sum coming from his departure if he moved to a different side.
Inter have been poking around Nico Paz, and their vice president Javier Zanetti has a tight relationship with his father. On the other hand, the only way for them to onboard him next summer is to convince Real Madrid to do the deal. Los Blancos wouldn’t necessarily let go of him altogether.
In the meantime, recent reports suggest that they are trying to eliminate the buy-back clauses through an investment. However, his stellar performances will make it hard to persuade his former team.
He will have a say in what will happen, and he voiced his preference for Real Madrid more than a few times. Los Blancos might even like it better if he stayed at Como in a starring role without the risk of getting lost in the shuffle in a big team.
