Inter Milan Coach Admits ‘We Screwed Up Completely’ In Serie A Disaster Vs Fiorentina – Adds ‘Monday Will Be Another Tough Match’ | OneFootball

Simone Inzaghi is expecting that Inter Milan will have another tough match in store when they face Fiorentina again in Serie A on Monday.

The Nerazzurri coach spoke to InterTV after this evening’s Serie A defeat, via FCInterNews. He also admitted that his team “screwed up completely” in the stunning 3-0 loss.

Inter have just suffered the heaviest defeat of their season to date.

The Nerazzurri were unable to score for the first time in a Serie A match this campaign.

And at the other end, Inter conceded three goals in the second half.

This was against a Fiorentina team who were dealing with a major injury crisis.

However, it was La Viola who looked the fresher, hungrier, and more organized of the two teams. Inter Milan, by contrast, appeared sluggish and complacent.

And maybe the worst news of all for the Nerazzurri is that they have to face the same opposition in just a few days’ time.

Next Monday, Inter host Fiorentina at the San Siro. It is an opportunity to get some measure of revenge for this evening’s humiliation – but also a match where they know exactly what they have to fear.

Inzaghi: “Monday Will Be Another Tough Match For Inter Milan Vs Fiorentina”

After this evening’s match, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi said that “We’ll certainly prepare for [Monday’s match] as best we can.”

“We know that it will be another tough match,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Inter coach didn’t hold back in his assessment of this evening’s match. “We screwed up completely,” he lamented.

“Fiorentina deservedly won. They showed grit and determination, while we didn’t.”

“We need to think clearly and analyze the match as best we can,” he added.

“We knew that Fiorentina would play the kind of match that they did,” Inzaghi said. “In the first half we weren’t at our best and there were some signs. But in the second, we were even worse.”
