Inter Milan are monitoring Venezia’s Hans Nicolussi Caviglia as a replacement if Kristjan Asllani leaves this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are planning out their midfield for next season.
And one of the big questions is whether or not Kristjan Asllani will remain at the club.
The Albanian has been the backup to Hakan Calhanoglu for a few seasons now. However, he has never entirely convinced as a deputy for the Turkish international.
Therefore, there is certainly a possibility that Inter will listen to offers for Asllani this summer.
And if the Nerazzurri are to offload Asllani, they will look to replace the former Empoli midfielder. They will be after a player with a similar profile, capable of playing in holding midfield.
And according to Tuttosport, there is one name from within Serie A who has caught Inter’s eye in this respect.

Midfielder Hans Nicolussi Caviglia has been enjoying an impressive campaign with Venezia.
The newly-promoted side signed Nicolussi Caviglia on loan from Juventus last summer.
However, the loan deal includes an obligation to buy. The Lagunari must sign Nicolussi Caviglia on a permanent basis of €3.5 million, plus an additional €500,000 in the event they stay in Serie A.
Hans Nicolussi Caviglia had spent last season on loan with Salernitana, with mixed results.
However, this time around with Venezia, the 24-year-old has really found his form.
So much so, in fact, that according to Tuttosport, Inter would see Nicolussi Caviglia as a viable replacement for Asllani if the Albanian midfielder is to head for the exit door this summer.
