Simone Inzaghi has become a complete coach at Inter Milan, as he’s learned to juggle mind games and controversy.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
Simone Inzaghi arrived at Inter in the summer of 2021. He joined from Lazio, having spent more than five seasons in charge there.
Inzaghi had certainly established himself as one of the most promising coaches in Serie A during his time with the Biancocelesti.
However, there were some doubts about whether Inzaghi could handle the pressure of being at Inter.
Naturally, the 48-year-old has had to face a lot of pressure.
And in truth, Inzaghi has not always handled it perfectly.
There is no denying the Inter coach’s tactical acumen. But on the other hand, he has sometimes failed to really read situations and put the team in the best position in terms of intangible factors.
But in recent weeks, Inzaghi has shown clear signs that he has really grown into his role at Inter. And not just in terms of the tactics on the pitch.
The Inter coach has had to deal with some mind games from Napoli coach Antonio Conte.

However, these have evidently not fazed Inzaghi. He has gone about his work the same as ever – and occasionally hit back, without really getting drawn in too much.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi has faced the most consistent run of refereeing controversy across perhaps his entire time as Inter coach since the start of 2025.
And in the view of the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri coach has handled it perfectly.
