It's all over for Leicester if these likely scenarios transpire

On Wednesday evening, Leicester City travel for a fixture in the north of England. They won't be taking on just any team. The Foxes play the other City, Manchester City. And the Premier League champions have just begun to find some semblance of their old selves along with some form. Typical. Unsurprisingly, striker extraordinaire Erling Haaland is back amongst the goals at the moment. Not to mention new Citizens signing Omar Marmoush looking like the real attacking deal.

So the east Midlands side have a proverbial mountain to climb as usual. As you can tell, getting anything from this encounter will be a tall order for LCFC manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. However, now is the time, if a time even exists, for Leicester to start showing a bit of class and some more fight! If the King Power club cannot muster a decent performance or, shock horror, a draw or an actual win - I believe they will undoubtedly be relegated. Odds are that we are already down. But having a fighting chance would be nice, if totally unrealistic at this stage.

One other English top flight element can all but decide Leicester City's fate too. West Ham United's trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers is pivotal for van Nistelrooy's men. The London Stadium side are near the bottom of the table. Yet Wolves can pull away further. So, what will happen if WWFC are victorious in the west Midlands and Leicester lose?

Wolves' nine-point gap is vast when you consider this point of the season and their weak competitors: Leicester and Ipswich Town. In all fairness, the Tractor Boys have exhibited a better version of themselves than City.

Nevertheless, both are adrift. Wolves defeating West Ham is foreseeable. Leicester beating MCFC is not. Therefore a four-win deficit would appear too much for the Foxes.
