Even though the transfer window slammed shut on Monday for Italian clubs in terms of new signings, there could still be some exits and one of them might be Samuel Chukwueze.
The day after the winter transfer window closed, journalist Carlo Pellegatti had Monica Colombo of Corriere della Sera on his YouTube channel to speak about a number of topics.
She offered her point of view on Milan’s red hot deadline day which brought multiple signings and sales, bringing the overall total in the winter to five additions and six departures.
Colombo also spoke about the future of Chukwueze, who is currently still part of the squad available to Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao but for how long remains uncertain.
“If there is the possibility of selling him [Chukwueze] in some market that is still open, it will be done but only if all the figures are squared,” she said (via MilanNews).
“Otherwise it is a discussion that will be postponed until the summer, if no cataclysms occur. At the end of the year there are also other players who will be able to say goodbye: Loftus-Cheek, for example, or Jovic too.”
As a reminder, Fulham are believed to have made a late approach to sign the winger, but in the end nothing materialised as they signed Willian on a free.
