German forward is the fourth Gunners player to undergo surgery this term
Arsenal fans have unfortunately got used to the sight of one of their players posing for a photo in a hospital bed.
Injuries have hit the Gunners hard this season, with Kai Havertz the latest to be struck down.
The German underwent surgery on his hamstring over the weekend and posted a photo on social media from his hospital bed with his thumb up.
“The last few days have been tough to process both physically and mentally. But yesterday was a good day. A successful op and a win,” Havertz wrote on Instagram.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka also underwent hamstring surgery back in December

“Thanks for all the messages of support over the last few days, it’s really helped. I’m now focused on my journey to full fitness and giving all the support I can give to the team in the background.”
Arsenal won their first match without Havertz, who will miss the rest of the season, on Saturday by beating Leicester. The Gunners’ players celebrated in the dressing room afterwards by speaking to Havertz on FaceTime.
“Losing Kai is massive for us, a big blow for him. He’s been fighting all season for us,” said Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber.
“We can’t wait to have him back. For us now [we’ve got] to take on the challenge and win games without him. We’ve had him on FaceTime in the dressing room after the match. We’ve spoken to him.”
Havertz’s post came just 24 hours before Reiss Nelson’s, who revealed on Instagram that he too had undergone surgery.

The Arsenal winger, who is on loan at Fulham this season, has been out of action since December due to a hamstring injury.
Gunners duo Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus both underwent surgeries earlier this season on hamstring and knee issues respectively.
Both posted pictures from their hospital bed, vowing to come back stronger. Arsenal fans will hope it is the last time this season they are greeted by such a sight.
