Paris Saint-Germain have just signed the Georgian winger from Napoli. Find out more about ‘Kvara’, Paris' new No7...

KING OF ITALY...

The whole of Europe discovered (and learned to pronounce) his name during the 2022-2023 season. Napoli became Italian champions for the first time since 1990. They had in their ranks the player who was voted best player in Serie A that season, with impressive stats for a first season at the highest level (43 matches, 14 goals, 17 assists, in all competitions).

He showed impressive consistency the following season, recording virtually the same stats, even though Napoli failed to retain their title. But Kvaratskhelia had everyone in agreement: his versatility, technique, elegance on the ball and ability to be decisive made him one of the most highly-rated and admired young players throughout Europe.

With a little icing on the cake: he's two-footed. Able to score and set up with both feet, a huge advantage in one-on-one situations, and one that gives opposing defenders nightmares.

... AND GEORGIA!

Capable of playing on both left and right wings, and an excellent set-piece taker, Kvara is already an icon in his homeland. Trained at Dinamo Tbilisi, the new Parisian No7 played for three different Georgian clubs, before a spell in Russia between 2019 and 2022 (Lokomotiv Moscow and Rubin Kazan), before heading to Italy.

In 2024, he took part in the UEFA European Championship with his country, reaching the Round of 16 for the first time in Georgian history. An entertaining and exciting team led by its star man and coach Willy Sagnol. Already well known for his performances with Napoli, Kvaratskhelia is also making a name for himself on a more international stage.
