CARSON, California – LA Galaxy secured a 4-1 victory over CS Herediano in the second leg of their Round of 16 series, winning 4-2 on aggregate, as the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup continued on Wednesday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA.

Diego Fagúndez was close to opening the scoring in the 2,’ with a left-footed attempt from the left end of the box, that was denied by Herediano goalkeeper Dany Carvajal.

Juan Luis Pérez produced Herediano’s most dangerous opportunity in the first half, in the 25’, with a left-footed drive from long distance that was just wide of the mark.

The hosts found the breakthrough goal in 30’ through Julián Aude, who sent the ball to the back of the net with a first-time to tie 1-1 on aggregate. Isaiah Parente provided the assist.

Miguel Berry fired from close range to extend the lead for the Galaxy in the 39’. Parente picked up the assist on the play to record his second of the match.

Gabriel Pec extended the lead for the hosts in the 53’. Harbor Miller assisted Pec on the play after a quick play down the right flank.

Christian Ramírez struck in the 76’ with a right-footed finish from inside the box, after a precise delivery from Carlos Garcés, to give the Galaxy a 4-nil lead.

José González cut one back for Herediano with a header to the top right corner of the goal in the 83’.

With the win, LA Galaxy will advance to the quarterfinals and face LIGA MX side Tigres UANL.
