Le Fee travels for Sunderland medical as Roma save on salary | OneFootball

Enzo Le Fee is reportedly travelling to England for medical tests with Sunderland, who will pay his full salary until the end of the season.

Roma midfielder Le Fee is on the verge of completing an initial loan move to Sunderland, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old will leave the capital later today to fly to England for his medical checks.

The Italian transfer expert claims that Sunderland will cover the player’s salary until the end of the season.

Le Fee’s move to the Stadium of Light marks a reunion with coach Regis Le Bris. The pair worked together at Ligue 1 outfit Lorient during the 2022-23 season.

Le Fee joined Roma in a €23m deal last summer but has been struggling for playing time, especially under new coach Claudio Ranieri.

It’s reported that if Sunderland is promoted to the Premier League, they will make the midfielder’s loan move permanent for the same fee in the summer.
