Paris Saint-Germain tapped into the Russian League to sign Matvei Safonov, and the club might be eyeing that region once again to strengthen its squad.
Luis Enrique is known for rotating his lineup, making use of a variety of players to keep the team in peak form, especially as the season hits its halfway point. Given this, it wouldn’t be surprising if PSG targets versatile players this summer.
In recent transfer windows, PSG has shown interest in Eastern European talent, including Safonov and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. With that trend in mind, could the current Ligue 1 leaders be eyeing another player from the region when the summer window opens?

Recent information suggests Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a €22.5 million move for Eduard Spertsyan from Krasnodar and are aiming to wrap up the transfer before the summer.
Leeds United are said to be speeding up talks, while Juventus and PSG are keeping a close eye on the situation. Spertsyan has played 25 games for Krasnodar, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
Former goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that he is unsure if his skills will be transferable to a side likely to face a big battle to survive in the Premier League next season despite his offensive qualities.
“He’s versatile, attacking midfielder, can play anywhere, left, right or in the number 10 role,” Robinson said. “He’s a talented player, there’s a lot of clubs that have looked at him and when you do watch his clips and you see how he plays, he’s a very creative, intelligent player going forward…
“For me, it’s a risk signing. Go to the Premier League and Daniel Farke is still in charge, will they play the same system? Will they be as attacking? Will they have the license to play that many forward-thinking players?
“He would fit into the system. Can he cope with the Premier League? Can he cope with the Championship? I’m not sure, but there’s a certain amount of talent around the player because he’s been watched by a lot of people.”
