Now and then, Leicester City Football Club still surprise you with an astute ploy. For example, we saw some prudence, practicality and innovation when the King Power outfit fought the Premier League. Clever lawyers managed to get the Leicestershire side off the hook (for now) for apparent Profit and Sustainability rule breaking. For all the modern Foxes faults, one or two ingenious people obviously remain behind the scenes.

And this place is where we attempt to break down every LCFC scenario - good and bad! One currently conflicting factor in this regard would be the failed and frustrating January business conducted by City. The one-transaction-transfer-window, is a phrase I'm coining. Clearly the east Midlands team weren't able to sign players for restrictive reasons. Although that is a measure in place because of their own shortcomings and frugality when previous opportunities arose in years gone by.

However, having said all that like some sort of Blue Army rant, I must now assert that City have devised a separate scheme with some keen foresight. I'm probably overstating Leicester's case a bit, but a chance still exists that a decent footballer will arrive this season. Only a few angles remain to exploit - and LCFC may do just that. Let's hear what course of action the Foxes have reportedly taken in order to bolster the roster with someone probably keen to compete.

Leicester City leave space in squad open for free agent to possibly join in current campaign

LCFC bosses were rightly lambasted for not securing adequate signings in the recently expired market. This was justifiable criticism. Yet the likely truth is that Leicester can't spend money.

Though there is always a way with free transfers. Leicester Mercury even named a trio of potential candidates for City to target. You can read those thoughts below:

"Leicester City have given themselves the opportunity to strengthen their ranks by leaving one spot free in their Premier League squad.Clubs resubmit their line-ups after the January transfer window and City have only filled 24 of their 25 permitted spaces. That means, should they wish, they can sign a free agent and register them to play in their fight for survival"LCFC Live
