Another key element of the RC Lens defence could be set for a summer departure, according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter, who understands that Facundo Medina (25) has been made available for transfer.

It has been a turbulent time at the back for Lens. Kevin Danso left the club in January in order to join Tottenham Hotspur, whilst Abdukodir Khusanov left to join reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. The pair had been guaranteed starters under Will Still this season, whilst Danso in particular had become a stalwart for Les Sang et Or.

Lens’ UEFA Champions League qualification two years ago was secured thanks to a solid back three of Danso, Medina, and Jonathan Gradit. While Gradit is in talks to extend his stay at the Ligue 1 club, Medina will be allowed to leave this summer, Toubache-Ter understands. Lens have a model of selling on players when they reach a peak market value and the club believe that Medina has now reached that point. Les Sang et Or are therefore looking to sell him this summer.
