Chuba Akpom is eligible to play for his new club as Lille OSC take on USL Dunkerque in the Coupe de France on Tuesday night with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
Akpom joined Lille late in the transfer window, numerically replacing Mohamed Bayo, who joined Royal Antwerp on loan. However, the Englishman is not expected to start against Ligue 2 high-fliers Dunkerque. Instead, it is expected to be Jonathan David who leads the line with Bruno Genesio set to name a strong line-up with the view to avoiding any potential cup upset.
There are still plenty of absentees for Les Dogues with the likes of Edon Zhegrova, Ismaily, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, and Tiago Santos all out. Ethan Mbappé, meanwhile, is expected to start in midfield.
