Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured Matheus Cunha with a long-term contract extension, despite strong interest in him during the winter transfer window.

However, rumors about his future continue. Cunha has become a key figure for Wolves, excelling in multiple attacking roles.

Whether playing as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or center-forward, the Brazilian has seamlessly adapted and made a significant impact.

His performances have caught the attention of top clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, who are reportedly monitoring him, according to Fichajes.

While Wolves value Cunha highly, reports suggest they may consider offers over €70 million. Sky Sports News also reported that Nottingham Forest made a club-record bid of around £60 million for him in the winter window.

Journalist Graeme Bailey spoke about Cunha’s future and noted that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group will have to cough up a lot of money to get a deal done for Cunha.

“He’s clearly one they’re aware of, they like him,” Bailey told RousingTheKop. “He’s had a fantastic season and he’ll certainly be in contention but he won’t be cheap. He’s certainly on Liverpool’s radar, though, as with a few others.”

Recently, CaughtOffside reported, citing sources, that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to embarrass the competition for Cunha.

Spurs won’t have an easy path, though, as CaughtOffside also claims that PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are all interested in Cunha for the summer transfer window.

Although Cunha recently extended his contract with Wolves, it includes a £62 million release clause, which is expected to be triggered by any interested clubs when the transfer window opens again.
