Dean Huijsen will reportedly join Real Madrid, who edged clubs like Liverpool and PSG to secure the Bournemouth standout.

On Thursday, Fabrizio Romano revealed the payment structure Real Madrid agreed to with Bournemouth to activate the release clause for a player who had drawn interest from several top European sides.

Romano also reported that Huijsen’s representatives have arrived in Madrid to finalize his move to Real Madrid.

The two clubs have agreed on a £50 million fee, which will be paid in three installments. Furthermore, the former Juventus player will reportedly sign a five-year contract with Los Blancos.

According to Diario AS, Huijsen will earn €9 million gross per year at Real Madrid through 2030, with his salary increasing to €11 million in the final year of the deal. Premier League clubs reportedly offered him twice as much, but he was set on joining Madrid.

Romano recently reported that Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all prepared to trigger Huijsen’s release clause and are in talks with his camp. Still, as the transfer saga nears its end, the young defender is reportedly ready to join Real Madrid.
