One player who has not had much to do with Liverpool’s success in the Premier League is Federico Chiesa.

Signed from Juventus in the summer of 2024, Chiesa has had injury problems at Liverpool this season, and when fit and available, he has not been able to establish himself in Slot’s starting line-up.

The 27-year-old Italy international winger has not made a single start in the Premier League and has played only 25 minutes in the English top flight all season.

According to CalcioMercato, Liverpool, who have been linked with Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall, are ready to sever their ties with the £120,000-a-week (The Athletic) winger and are willing to even accept a loan deal.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Napoli are interested in a summer deal for Chiesa and would love to sign him.

Napoli head coach Antonio Conte is a fan of his Italian compatriot, although the Liverpool winger would have to take a pay-cut to join a club in Italy.

Chiesa is a very good winger, but he has had injury problems and fitness issues for a while now.

It is hard to see the winger establish himself in the Reds’ starting line-up anytime soon.

It would make sense for the 27-year-old to move to another club where he could be a key player.
