More information is emerging about Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Désiré Doué and whether he is satisfied with his first few months at the club after joining the Ligue 1 champions this past summer.
Doué completed a €50 million transfer to the Parc des Princes from Stade Rennais, turning down interest from Bayern Munich. Staying in Ligue 1 was seen as a logical step for the young Frenchman to continue his development.
While it’s still early days in his PSG career, Doué hasn’t fully met expectations. According to L’Équipe, he is feeling “disappointed” and “frustrated” with how things have gone so far.
Despite these struggles, PSG remains confident in his potential, with manager Luis Enrique viewing Doué as a key part of the club’s future plans.
Last week, Anfield Watch reported that Liverpool are monitoring Doué’s situation, as the club have been long-time admirers of the 19-year-old attacking talent.

According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Doué knew from the start that settling in after his transfer would take time, and he’s embraced that process. Now fully recovered from his injury, he’s back in top shape and ready to fight for his spot.
Despite receiving plenty of interest, a winter move is off the table for him. Doué remains optimistic, showing no signs of frustration, and PSG have no plans to let him leave during the winter transfer window.
This 2024-25 season, Doué has made 13 total appearances while recording one assist and tallying 483 total minutes for PSG.
