Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez who is currently enduring difficult times at San Siro.
Like his older brother, Lucas, the 27-year-old made his first breakthrough at Atletico Madrid, but was then poached by their crosstown rivals Real Madrid in 2017.
But after finding little playing time at Santiago Bernabeu, he made the switch to Milan in the summer of 2019, and gradually established himself as a true pillar at the club.
Hernandez has been widely regarded as one of the finest full-backs in the world, mainly for his explosive forays down the left flank.
However, the France international has been enduring an alarming decline since the start of the season.
So according to Calciomercato, the left-back’s price tag has decreased from €80 million to a figure close to €50 million.

The player’s contract situation is also a key factor in this equation, as his current deal is set to expire in June 2026, while the two parties have yet to find an agreement over a renewal.
Therefore, the source believes Man United are watching the situation closely, as they could decide to lunge in for the Frenchman.
The Italian website explains that the Red Devils are currently searching the market for a new left-back/left wingback, as Luke Shaw continues to be plagued by recurring injuries.
Hence, Hernandez could be the ideal profile for the role, especially if he can recapture the splendid form he displayed over the past few years at Milan.
However, the source believes Man United aren’t alone in the race, as Real Madrid could go headhunting for their former player, as they seemed to have missed out on Alphonso Davies who’s now closer to penning a new contract with Bayern Munich.
