Manchester United will be gunning for their second Premier League win in a row when they take on Brighton on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils are coming off a morale-boosting victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup followed by a comeback win over Southampton on Thursday.

This time around, the Premier League giants will be hoping to pay a fitting tribute to their iconic striker Denis Law who passed away on Friday by beating the Seagulls at Old Trafford.

So how will start for Ruben Amorim in this crucial contest?

Despite Altay Bayindir’s heroics against the Gunners last weekend, Andre Onana remains the club’s ultimate first choice. At the back, Leny Yoro will likely be dropped after an unconvincing display against the Saints. Therefore, Harry Maguire will return to marshall the backline supported by Matthijs de Ligt and Lisando Martinez.

In the wingback slots, Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot will be the likely choices, especially with the latter returning from a one-match ban.

In the middle of the park, there could be a surprise on the cards, as Amorim could resort to the young partnership of Kobbie Mainoo and Toby Collyer who has been gaining ground in the pecking order following some impressive cameos against Arsenal and Southampton. The 21-year-old could replace Manuel Ugarte who has been struggling to cope with the packed schedule.

In the attacking trident, club captain Bruno Fernandes should connect with Amad Diallo who was once again the hero in midweek, salvaging the Red Devils by scoring a hattrick to turn the result upside-down. Joshua Zirkzee should lead the line, replacing Rasmus Hojlund who has been out of sorts in his recent outings.
