Bruno Fernandes has once again etched his name into Manchester United’s history books by securing the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for the fourth time.
This achievement places him alongside club legends Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea, who have also won the prestigious fan-voted accolade on four occasions .
In a season where Man United faced numerous challenges, Fernandes stood out with remarkable consistency.
Across all competitions, he contributed 19 goals and 19 assists in 54 appearances, leading the team in both categories.
His performances were not only recognised by the fans but also by his teammates, as he clinched the Players’ Player of the Year award for the first time, completing a notable awards double.
Despite these personal accolades, Fernandes expressed a desire to see his teammates take center stage in the future.
He stated, “I hope next year I am not even involved in the name… Because that will mean you step up, Amad will step up, Garnacho will step up, Rasmus will step up… and I will be the most happy person in the world.”

As the season concludes, Fernandes and United have the opportunity to secure silverware in the upcoming Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
A victory would not only add a trophy to their cabinet but also ensure qualification for next season’s Champions League, a crucial objective given their current 16th place in the Premier League standings
As the club look to rebuild and aim for greater success, Fernandes’ influence both on and off the pitch will be instrumental in guiding the next generation of United stars.
Signing Fernandes has elevated the team to a new level and it would not be wrong to say that he is one of the best United signings in Premier League history.
