Man United’s plans for Marcus Rashford revealed as game-changing clause emerges

Manchester United have reportedly decided what they plan to do with Marcus Rashford, as an interesting detail in their agreement with Aston Villa has now emerged.
The 27-year-old has been one of the club’s most influential players over the past decade. Although he had his highs and lows, few would have imagined his abrupt departure in mid-season.
Nevertheless, Ruben Amorim made it abundantly clear that the Englishman has no place in his plans. The 40-year-old wasn’t impressed by the striker’s attitude in training, so he dropped him from the squad starting mid-December, which prompted his departure at the end of the winter transfer window.
Rashford signed for Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy for £40 million at the end of the season. Many believe that the Birmingham-based club will make a final decision on whether or not to activate this clause based on the outcome of the race for the Champions League spots.

According to Sky Sports, even if the Villains decide to trigger the clause, they could still miss out on the player, as they do not possess a first refusal option.
In other words, Unai Emery’s side isn’t the only club that can buy Rashford for £40 million at the end of the season, as their offer can be matched by another suitor.
This is certainly good news for United who prefer to sell him abroad. In any case, Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst insists that the Red Devils have no intention of reintegrating the striker into the squad.
The source doesn’t rule out a temporary summer return, as was the case with Jadon Sancho when he took part in the club’s pre-season preparations upon his return from Dortmund before being shipped off to Chelsea.
The report also insists that Rashford has no intention of joining any club in London. While he could be open to a nearby switch to Liverpool or Manchester City, his dream destination remains Barcelona, but he would be happy to linger at Villa Park where he found his form again before suffering a season-ending injury.
