Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly exploring options to bolster their attack in 2025, with Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting Lisbon emerging as a potential target. Recent reports indicate that the Swedish striker is attracting interest from multiple clubs, although one faces a major obstacle.
Foot Mercato stated that PSG’s sporting advisor, Luís Campos, is keen on Gyökeres and has already initiated talks with his representatives. However, head coach Luis Enrique is said to have reservations about the move.
Meanwhile, SPORT reports that Barcelona are considering a €70 million bid for the forward, potentially including a clause to keep him on loan at Sporting for another season.

Despite the rumors linking PSG to Gyökeres, RMC Sport journalist Arthur Perrot rules out the capital club making a push for the Sweden international to bolster their attack in 2025.
“Gyökeres to PSG? I remember the rumor came out a month ago,” Perrot said (h/t Le10Sport). “With Fabrice Hawkins, we quickly asked the management and the sports advisor about it. They told us he wouldn’t be coming. Since then, we haven’t provided any updates, but we were so firm on PSG’s side that we didn’t press further.”
According to Peter Hall from the iPaper, Ruben Amorim is eager to keep Gyökeres at Sporting, but the player is reportedly keen on a move to Manchester United. Sporting are open to selling him for around £60 million in the summer, though his release clause stands at £80 million if a deal is struck this month.
Football Transfers also noted that Arsenal remain in contact with Gyökeres as the Sweden international plans a move in the summer of 2025. Sporting are expected to sell the 26-year-old for around €65 million, with Newcastle now emerging as a competitor to the Gunners in the race for his signature.
