Paris Saint-Germain have been keeping tabs on Osimhen for a while, and with the summer transfer window just around the corner, speculation about his next move is picking up steam.

The Nigerian forward, now starring at Galatasaray, has rediscovered the form that made him a breakout star in the 2022-23 season. With 28 goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions, he’s back on the radar of top clubs across Europe.

According to GIVE ME SPORT, Manchester United are starting to feel the pressure from PSG’s growing interest. The French side are reportedly in the lead to sign him.

PSG are also said to be in a strong position financially, capable of meeting both Osimhen’s wage expectations and the £63 million asking price. The report notes that Chelsea and United now view PSG as the frontrunner in the race for his signature.

Osimhen’s hopes of a high-profile summer move to Manchester United have taken a serious hit, as the Red Devils opted to focus on other targets instead. This comes despite Napoli offering United the chance to sign the on-loan Galatasaray star at a discounted price.

According to Manchester Evening News (via TEAMtalk), United have decided to abandon plans to sign the Nigerian striker. This comes even after Napoli attempted to lower his price to €55 million (£47.5 million, $60.8 million)—a steep discount compared to the €120 million that interested clubs were told to pay just 18 months ago.

As a result, TEAMtalk contributor Ben Jacobs reports that Osimhen’s move to Saudi Arabia is once again on the table, with two clubs now seen as his most likely suitors.
