The Toon teenagers conceded four times in the first-half at the City Football Academy as Reigan Heskey, son of former England striker Emile, opened the scoring inside eight minutes before strikes from Finley Gorman, Ryan McAidoo and Dante Headley extended the hosts' advantage before the half-time whistle.
Logan Watts pulled a goal back for United's youngsters shortly after the restart, the defender's second goal in his last three league games at under-18 level, before Divine Mukasa immediately restored City's four-goal cushion.
Sean Neave was unable to net his eighth goal of the 2024/25 campaign at under-18 level as the England Under-18 international missed from the penalty spot before Mukasa completed his hat-trick with a further two goals.
