Manchester United have learnt the price it would take to extract Antonee Robinson from Fulham this January.
The Red Devils continue to suffer at left wing back and Tyrell Malacia’s poor performance versus AFC Bournemouth a couple of days ago furthered highlighted the problems they are dealing with.
As a consequence, United are heavily interested in signing a left back in the winter or the summer and one name that has gained traction as of late is Robinson.
It has already been reported that United are interested in the American fullback but that Fulham would resist any move made in January.
Robinson further added fuel to the fire when he commented that he would happily leave Fulham if a good offer came in for him and according to reports, we now know what that fee would be.
Football Insider report that sources have told them that Liverpool or any other interested team would “have to pay a fee of £40-50million to sign Antonee Robinson in January.”
He is high on the list at Anfield but “sources say they have been joined by the likes of Man City, Man United and Arsenal in the running for his signature after an impressive season so far.”
Fulham have the 27 year old tied down to a contract until 2028 so “hold the cards over his future at the club and will demand huge money to see him leave.”
The former Everton graduate is generally seen as “one of the best” left backs in the Premier League after a string of high quality performances.
He has started every league game for the Cottagers and has contributed six assists.
However, Football Insider claim that a deal regarding Robinson is far more likely to take place in the summer than the winter as Fulham see him as a key piece in their season.
In addition, while United fans would love to spend big in the winter, PSR rules dictate there are unlikely to be any splurges unless they can sell off big names.
