According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan can sign Kyle Walker on loan with an option to buy from Manchester City rather than terminate his contract.
The idea until now had been for the veteran to end his contract early by mutual consent, therefore allowing him to join the Rossoneri as a free agent.
However, Italian transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that the plan now is for him to arrive on loan with an option to buy for a minimal fee.

There had already been multiple reports today that Walker has agreed personal terms with Milan for a contract to June 2027.
As Manchester United are refusing to cover any significant amount of Marcus Rashford’s salary, he is no longer a target and Milan do not need to worry about having too many players in non-EU slots.
Numerous different sources in Italy and England are confident that Walker has given the all-clear for a switch to San Siro at the age of 34.
Manchester City paid €52.7m to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2017, but he has asked to leave in the January transfer window for a new experience abroad.
