MN: Kvaratskhelia and Politano to return to Napoli starting XI vs. Milan | OneFootball

Antonio Conte will look to his stars against AC Milan when they travel to San Siro on Tuesday, given the magnitude of the game.

Tuesday’s game has the potential to be a potential title decider early in the season, given the Partenopei could all but knock Milan out of the title picture with a win. If Napoli can beat the hosts, they will go 11 points clear, albeit whilst the Rossoneri will have a game in hand.

For this reason, Conte will bring Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Matteo Politano back into the starting eleven, after both missed the weekend’s game against Lecce. As well as the attacking duo, Leonardo Spinazzola should be brought back into the starting side, as Milan News reports.

Paulo Fonseca is also expected to make changes to his side, largely due to suspensions, and he is set to name a ‘more physical’ side to counter Conte’s squad. The Portuguese head coach wants to win the midfield battle with stronger players, so Yunus Musah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will partner with Youssouf Fofana.

In his press conference this afternoon, Fonseca also hinted at playing Davide Calabria at left-back which suggests a more defensively sound backline, as opposed to Filippo Terracciano who often sits slightly higher.
